Cheryl Cole’s plan for an underground gym and an ‘intimate’ swimming pool for herself and hubby Ashley at their home was foiled when a planning inspector turned down the idea, calling the development “non essential”.“While I note that the occupants clearly suffer a certain level of intrusion into their private lives, I am not satisfied that these facilities are essential,” the Daily Express quoted government planning inspector Philippa Jarvis, as saying.
Cheryl and her footie hubby Ashley are now expected to go about their construction plans above the ground on the 12 acres land around their 3.5million pound home.
The couple had made the appeal against an earlier decision that barred them from making the complex, saying that aircraft flying above their home could photograph them during “intimate episodes”.
Guildford Borough Council rejected the request, as the plan was “inappropriate” for the Green Belt.
