Katrina wants to adopt a leopard cub

A 15-day old leopard was rescued by Van Vihar national park’s team near Devankhedi village near Bhopal on January 22nd and the cub was named Katrina because the villagers thought she was as beautiful and silky as Katrina Kaif.

When Katrina learnt about this she expressed her desire to adopt the cub. This was confirmed by Van Vihar’s assistant director AK Khare. He stated that she called him up on Friday afternoon and wanted to adopt the cub. However, he points out that the name of the cub, which is presently housed in their zoo, is spelt Catreena.

Katrina will have to pay Rs. 50, 000 annually for the leopard and fill up a form and sign it.

Katrina Kaif working hard to Improve her Hindi Pronunciations

Katrina Kaif is working very hard on her dialogue delivery for Prakash Jha’s movie, Rajniti where she plays a politician (reportedly inspired by Sonia Gandhi).

She has always had a heavy accent when she spoke in Hindi, but she’s trying to improve her pronunciations. Whenever she has free time at home, she practices her lines so that she doesn’t go wrong during the dubbing of the film.

She wants her acting skills to be considered in the film and if possible, even win a few awards.

Katrina will participate Independence Day carnival in US

Katrina Kaif who is currently enjoying her month long vacation in Italy with her family will travel to the USA in August to celebrate Independence day, with the US based Indians and take part in the carnival.

A lot of B-Town bigwigs may be heading to the USA with Katrina for Independence Day festivities. Shah Rukh Khan, Bipasha Basu, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and other actors will be join with Katrina in the Chicago Carnival.

An event put together with an aim to bring the stars closer to their fan-base abroad, this carnival does not aim to gain financially from the Independence Day parade

Katrina received an upset from Bipasha

Just when success was finally sinking in and Katrina Kaif was getting all set to go slow and relish the fruits of her hard work, she received an upset from Bipasha Basu. The bong babe seems to have beaten Katrina in her favorite game the ‘money’ game.

Ever since B-town went abuzz with rumors of Katrina bagging a whooping amount of Rs 1 crore for a live stage performance, all eyes have been on Bipasha, who is touted as Kat’s closest competitor.

And looks like Bipasha has just raced past Katrina in the moolah game as the actress has reportedly walked away with a jaw dropping amount of Rs 1.5 crore for a live stage performance on new year’s eve.

Katrina's christmas holiday plans

Who says acting is easy and actors have the world in their hands.Traveling from one place to another for long outdoor shoots can take a toll and facing the heat is Katrina Kaif. Kats' is currently shooting in New York with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh for Kabir Khan's film, produced by Yashraj. The tight schedule has kept her away from home for over two months. She then had to fly out to Dubai for a day to join SRK and Kareena Kapoor for the Temptations Reloaded tour.

"I am feeling homesick," she said. Katrina recalls the time her pretty sister Isabelle had come down to
town to spend some quality time with her. "Isabelle was on a vacation. She flew down here to spend sometime with me. I miss my family a lot. I miss my home. But what to do my professional
commitments keep me busy. I am glad that my family flies down to meet me whenever they can."

But the biggest celebration that Katrina looks forward to is the family reunion during Christmas. "I am trying my best to see if we can all be together." Katrina adds, "I hope no professional work comes up then. I have kept my fingers crossed from now."

Now Katrina Kaif favours Anil Kapoor

If you thought that ‘sêxiest woman’ Katrina Kaif favours only ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar when it comes to films, then think again, because ‘Mr India’ Anil Kapoor is not far behind. He is almost matching steps with ‘Khiladi’ Kumar to take away his onscreen ladylove.

According to a movie-buff, "Contrary to popular misconception that Katrina is working in a major way with Akshay Kumar, the fact is that she has been sharing screen space quite a lot with Anil Kapoor too. Raj Kanwar directed love story ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’ was the first film, which got them together. There they were paired opposite each other even though Katrina was shown to be romantically involved with Akshay."

Infact, ‘Yuvvraaj’ is the fourth film of Anil and Katrina after ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’, ‘Welcome’ and ‘Race’. So, one may think that our Katrina favours only Akshay but this is clearly, not the case. Akshay Kumar is in a dangerous position of losing his onscreen love. Beware, Akki!

Katrina classic and regal in Yuvraaj

Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif may be in Philadelphia at the moment, but we get to learn some wonderful things about the girl from friends back home. Apparently, the girl tried on over 200 gowns when she flew down to Delhi last.

Katrina went all the way to Delhi to spend an entire day with designers Gauri and Nainika, and tried over 200 gowns for her role in Subhash Ghai's Yuvraaj . Her look in the film can best be described as classic and regal, so much so that her dress code included empire line waistlines and Grecian gowns! Of course every gown gave a different effect, and Kat was keen to zero in on her costumes way in advance. It looks like the effort has paid off!

It can be remembered that for a song in Singh Is Kinng , the actress had flown all the way to Dubai to shop for a dress she thought would be 'perfect'. And producer Vipul Shah was thrilled at her enthusiasm.

Singh is King Katrina's sixth hit in a row

Katrina Kaif is currently in the US shooting for Kabir Khan's New York for the Yashraj Films banner. Back home the actress has delivered yet another hit, Sinngh is King. And going by the number, Singh is King happens to be Katrina's sixth hit in a row, the earlier ones being Namastey London, Apne, Partner,Welcome, Race and now Singh is King. This is a first in Bollywood.

The news of Singh is Kinng's success has left Katrina absolutely elated. She shared the joy of her success with the cast and crew of Yashraj films. Katrina wishes that she was in here in Mumbai to savour the success of her latest venture. "But the party more than made up for it," she laughs.

Not to forget that Katrina just been selected as the brand ambassador for Nakshatra Diamonds. "Katrina has signed the deal with Nakshatra for a whopping amount," revealed a source.

Katrina's success story has turned every actress green with envy and got their tongues wagging. Indulging in malicious gossip and the crab mentality is the way of the industry that Katrina is well familiar with.

But she is not going to let all the loose talk bog her down and mar her enthusiasm and spirit. "I have worked hard so why shouldn't I enjoy my share of the pie," she smiles.

Katrina Kaif wants to discuss work, not Salman

Katrina Kaif has had it with answering questions about Salman Khan.

“At any event, no matter what it is for, I’m only asked one thing,” the sexy actress complained. “It does get to me. I understand a mediaperson’s job. Fine. They can ask. But I’m not telling.”

She would rather talk about her work. “The girl I play in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is closest to what I am in real life. A little lost, a little out of it. Credulous, artless and trusting, that girl believes in the goodness of all things just like I do. I’ve never played someone whom I felt so close to myself.”

The film requires her to be young and trendy. Santoshi has given Katrina carte blanche to experiment with her looks. So far the actress has worked towards looking older than she is. Now she wants to look her age. She’s excited about working with Ranbir Kapoor. “My first co-star who’s my own age,” she admits. “Anil Kapoor, Akshay, Salman and Saif are fun too, but I’ve never worked with anyone of my age.”

With six super-hits in her kitty and the bitching brigade gunning for her big time, Katrina is uncomfortable about being called the lucky mascot of Hindi cinema. “It isn’t as easy as it looks. I’ve worked hard, tried to choose scripts that work, with some help from people who are more experienced and know better. I had no filmi background. I didn’t grow up watching Hindi films and rattling off dialogues from Sholay and Deewaar in front of guests at home in London. I had to start in Bollywood from scratch. If today I’m being called a lucky mascot I feel happy, but also apprehensive. All it’ll take is two flops for the tag to be taken away.”
