Kate Moss will judge a new music talent show

Supermodel Kate Moss has been signed up by Simon Cowell to sit on a panel of judges on a new music talent show.

Cowell is said to be producing the show in collaboration with Topshop billionaire Sir Philip Green, one of Kate’s close friends.

According to reports, the show will be a cross between Simon’s flagship X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, giving an unsigned group the chance to become rock stars.

It is expected to launch in the US with a British spin-off following later.

The show will mark Kate’s first mainstream TV role, and a remarkable turn around for the model whose career was almost destroyed when she was caught snorting cocaine in 2005.

“Kate is absolutely cock-a-hoop about her move into TV,” the Mirror quoted a source close to Kate as saying.

Jamie Hince has pledged to patch up with Kate Moss

Popstar Jamie Hince has pledged to patch up his broken relationship with Kate Moss and give in to the supermodel’s plea to have a baby.

The couple broke up as Kate wanted to have a baby and start a family but Hince was apprehensive about the whole idea. However while on tour in the States, the Kills guitarist had been thinking about rekindling romance with the 34-year-old and has finally decided to start a family with his lady love, according to pals.

Hince has told his friends that the break-up was “a storm in a teacup” and is confident he can get things back on track. “Jamie is upset that Kate is being painted as this party animal who ruined their relationship with her wild ways. The reality is far from that,” The Sun quoted Hince’s pal, as saying. “In fact, they split over her wanting to start trying for children,” the pal added.

The friend revealed that Hince and Kate have been arguing about having a baby for a long time. “It’s a problem that has been rumbling on for a while and came to a head recently,” the pal said.

“Jamie told her he didn’t want to commit to that while things were still going well with his band and he was away on tour so much. But she argued that could remain the case for years and she didn’t want to wait that long before having another child,” the pal added.

However, Hince has finally decided to discuss their future with her when he returns from The Kills’ American tour. “Now Jamie misses her and has been struggling with the thought of being apart from her for good while in the States on tour,” Hince’s pal revealed. “When he returns he is ready to back down over the baby issue to save his relationship,” he added.

Naomi Campbell will promote Black people in fashion industry

If reports are to be believed, supermodel Naomi Campbell may soon retire, for she thinks she is through with her bit to promote Black people in the fashion industry.

The catwalk queen has always been reluctant to give up her career as there are so few black women in the industry, reports China Daily.

But after designers at New York Fashion Week used beauties of all races to showcase their creations, she is sure that there are other people to carry the torch and she can happily leave.

"This time the designers and editors have stepped it up. I feel positive. That means I can go soon,” she said.

She added: "My gut instinct is to get women of colour out there whether I''m still in fashion or not. I''ll be very happy when I''m 55 years old to pick up a magazine and see a lovely spread with a black woman.

Then I''ll know I didn''t work for all these years only to see it go backwards."

While the 38-year-old supermodel takes it as a changing attitude, she hopes that it is more than a passing trend.

She added: "The recent issue of Italian Vogue magazine where they only used black models shouldn''t make it briefly fashionable to be black and then unfashionable again."

Kate Moss blamed that fashion industry made her thin

Supermodel Kate Moss has blamed the fashion industry for making her too thin.

In a recent interview with America’s Interview magazine, the stunner said that she never wanted to be skinny.

"I didn't eat for a long time. Not on purpose. You'd be on shoots with bad food or get on a plane and the food would be so disgusting you couldn't eat it,” Guardian.co.uk quoted her, as saying in the interview.

“You go to a show and there's no food at all.I remember standing up in the bath one day and I was so thin! I was never anorexic.I remember thinking, I don't want to be this skinny,” she added.

Other models have echoed Moss's comments.

In Vogue this month Karen Elson, who has said that in the past she was "not eating, bulimic and taking laxatives", accuses the fashion industry of encouraging models to be unhealthily thin.

I remember I came back from a job in Paris and the stylist said to me, "have you been eating too many croissants, Karen?" Elson said.

"Fashion is obsessed with finding young, beautiful and vulnerable girls, bringing them into the fashion world, praising them, worshipping them but suddenly dropping them like a stone when they hit puberty and grow boobs and hips. It''s so dangerous and can potentially harm the girls mentally and physically,” the model added.

Marisa Miller added another feather in her cap

Supermodel Marisa Miller has added another feather in her cap after being made Victoria’s secret angel.

Marisa has already carved a niche for herself after topping Maxim magazine's annual list of beauties, beating beauties like Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel.

The global lingerie giant Victoria's Secret has recruited Marisa as a spokesmodel, reports the Daily Telegraph . Her first role will be as the face of new fragrance Very Sexy Dare, which will be unveiled at the firm's flagship store in New York in September next month.

The model will then be featured on the front cover of GQ Magazine with the lingerie label.

Carla Bruni, wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, has defended posing nudê and claimed that talks about her 30 lovers were poetic licence - in fact she has only had around 15.

In an interview to Paris Match , Carla defended posing nudê during her days on the international catwalk, claiming her behaviour was never as risque as pop stars like Madonna, who published authorised pictures of herself in the nudê in the infamous 1992 coffee table book Sêx .

Kate's rock and roll lifestyle to get revealed

English musician Pete Doherty has revealed that he is set to tell all about the sex, drugs and rock and roll life he led with supermodel Kate Moss in a new autobiography.

Doherty will be co authoring with Sean Boru, and the tome will have sections devoted to focusing on his relationship with the supermodel. "The whole premise of the book is Pete talking about Kate Moss and the sex and drugs and rock'n'roll lifestyle they shared,” Daily Telegraph quoted Boru as saying.

“I wrote to Pete when he was in jail about my experiences when I was a drug addict and we built a relationship. He knows I understand where he is coming from and this is the first book that properly details his private life with Moss - which is what everyone wants to read about," he added.

News of Doherty's book comes as Moss' lost hair extension went on sale on eBay.
