Jessica Alba’s 15-month-old daughter is bilingual

Jessica Alba has revealed that she is very keen on getting her 15-month-old daughter Honor to be able to speak both Spanish and English.

“I am a mother who shoves information down her throat, poor thing. I sing her songs about colours in Spanish and English when I’m cooking. Literally I integrate learning into everything I do,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

28-year-old American actress, who is of Mexican descent, has already started educating her daughter by singing songs.

“We’re into colours because I feel that’s something a 15 month old can sort of identify. So now she kind of points to blue and says ‘azul’ and I say ‘Yes, azul, muy bien!’ It’s slow going but she’s sort of picking it up, she added.

Tyra has baby shower for Alba on TV

Tyra Banks threw a baby shower for Jessica Alba on her talk show recently.

The former supermodel filled the stage with balloons and gifts as pregnant Jessica appeared on the show. Included among the presents were a pushchair, bassinet, toys and clothes at a total cost of $6,000.

Jessica — who is expecting her first child, rumoured to be a boy, with fiancé Cash Warren — revealed she was learning to cope with her expanding breasts. She said, “I’ve never dealt with cleavage before — it’s a whole new thing.” Jessica also admitted that the baby wasn’t planned, but was a pleasant surprise.

Alba refuses to bare all

A source close to the actress said, “Jessica keeps getting phone calls from magazines who want her to pose naked when she is about seven months into her pregnancy. They know it will make their magazines sell.”

However, Jessica, 26, isn’t particularly keen on the idea. The source continued, “She had three offers on the first day, but she doesn’t intend to take any of them.”

Meanwhile, the Fantastic Four star has postponed her plans to marry because she doesn’t want to be a pregnant bride. The actress, who split from boyfriend Cash Warren in July only to reunite in August, has no plans to marry now, when she is expecting her first child. A source said, “She doesn’t want to be pregnant in a dress.”

The actress had been keen to tie the knot with the 28-year-old film producer, and his reluctance to commit was rumoured to be the reason for their brief split.

But Jessica is now planning to wait until after the baby is born before she starts organising her wedding ceremony with Cash.
