Even though there are skeptics who believe that the voice on the demo is not of Britney Spears, but the issue seems to be cleared up by the producer of the song – Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins.

Kevin Federline has no plans of reunion with Britney

Britney Spears’ former husband Kevin Federline has no plans of getting back together with the singer, his publicist has said.

The revelation was made during Federline’s feud with 2DayFM over his non-appearance at the last minute for a paid hour of co-hosting.

His rep Amanda Archer told Confidential that Federline decided not to turn up for the show after being enraged the night before by a headline on the 2DayFM website, reports News.com.au.

Britney spotted in a black bikini in Mexico

During a holiday in Mexico, Britney Spears was spotted in a black bikini.

The pop star was taking a break after finishing the latest US leg of her huge Circus world tour.

She was seen with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Her agent and alleged boyfriend Jason Trawick was also said to have joined the singer on her vacation, reports The Sun.

The star will soon head to Australia to perform another run of dates.

Britney is celebrating her 10-year anniversary in the music industry

Britney to celebrate 10 years in music biz with greatest hits collection on November 24.

A decade after her recording debut Baby One More Time, the collection will be the stunners’ third compilation, following 2004’s Greatest Hits: My Prerogative and 2005’s B In The Mix: The Remixes.

The 17-track standard set will include a brand new Britney Spears tune, 3, plus songs from 2007’s Blackout album and last year’s Circus, reports Contactmusic.

The release will come just two months after Madonna’s third greatest hits release, Celebration, which hit stores earlier this month.

Britney's traffic trial underway

A jury has started its deliberation process in Britney Spears' driving-without-a-license trial after hearing both the closing arguments.

The process that began on October 17 saw the panel deliberating for two hours though they were unable to reach a verdict, consequently dismissing the case for the weekend.

Prosecutor Michael Amerian argued before the court that the singer should be convicted of the misdemeanour charge since she did not possess a California driver's license at the time of the August 2007 fender bender.

Amerian further raised a point that though Britney hailed from Lousiana, she harboured every intention to live in California - a point substantiated by the fact that not only every major event of her life occurred here but that she planned on making it her home.

"Every significant occurrence of Britney Spears's life has occurred in Los Angeles," People magazine quoted him as saying while referring to her marriage, the birth of her two sons, and divorce.

"She is a California resident," he added.

Amerian also said that since the singer had applied for (but did not receive) a California license four months prior to the accident "shows her intent to stay here."

However, Britney's father, Jamie Spears testified in her defence claiming that the singer considered Louisiana as her home.

The defence argued that Spears "doesn't want to be here (in California). She's a Louisiana girl. She's only here because of her custody case. She keeps thinking, maybe next month I can go home."

If found guilty, Britney might have to face up to six months in jail in addition to a 1,000 dollar fine.

"She's pitching the book around to studios," the Sun quoted a source close to Lynne as saying. "She even says she wants Julia Roberts to play her. It's insane!" the source added.

However, Britney is said to have stopped turning towards alcohol in a bid to get back in shape for her comeback following her public meltdown.

The Spears couple had taken over their depressed daughter's personal and professional life in the early 2008, with dad Jamie becoming a co-conservator of the singer's property.

Britney's ex-boyfriend could find himself behind bars

Britney Spears' ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib could find himself behind bars if he tried to sell the sêx tape featuring him and the singer.

The paparazzi photographer, who dated Britney during her public meltdown, had offered the tape for sale inviting the highest bid and was trying to sell it to Internet's pay-per-view po rn websites for 5.6million pounds.

Meanwhile, the singer has decided to fight back and her lawyers have filed a lawsuit claiming that Britney was mentally instable when the video was shot.

The 2-hour long tape was allegedly shot while the duo was holidaying in Mexico earlier this year - around the same time when Britney was struggling with depression, drug addiction and nervous breakdowns.

The singer had landed in hospital psychiatric wards twice after a string of public meltdowns and had also lost custody of her children control of her finances before being filmed with Ghalib.

"Brit's attorneys will argue that she was coerced into being filmed having sêx with Ghalib while the balance of her mind was disturbed," the Daily Star quoted a family source as saying.

The source said: "Every shred of evidence supports this.

"The whole world watched earlier this year as she was strapped on to a gurney and carted off to a mental ward."

The 35-year old Brummie, who, according to pals, has been struggling financially since being ditched by Britney, could face up to ten years behind bars if he were to break the injunction.

Lynne Spears takes blame for Britney's woes

The mother of pop star Britney Spears on Wednesday heaped the blame for her daughters' erratic behavior throughout 2007 and early this year on herself in a television interview saying "it's always my fault."

Appearing on the morning TV talk show "Today" on NBC, Lynne Spears also said that she first thought it was joke when her younger daughter Jamie Lynn announced she was pregnant at age 16 -- in a note.
"It said she was pregnant and everything was going to be OK. She was going to raise it ... I thought it was a joke. I was waiting for the punch line," Lynne Spears told interviewer Meredith Vieira.

"I was in shock. I think I was just truly in shock, and then I started to cry. And she started consoling me at that point."

Jamie Lynn gave birth to a girl in June and is raising the baby with her boyfriend in their Mississippi home.
Spears, 53, said she accepted much of the blame for the crises of the past two years. Britney shaved her head, went in and out of rehab, lost custody of her children and was hospitalized in a psychiatric ward.

"As a mother, don't we always blame ourselves?" she said. "I took a lot of the blame. I took all the blame. The personality I have, it's always my fault."

Spears has written a memoir, "Through The Storm" which is being published this week, about the rise to fame of her daughters.

She said her family had no idea how difficult life was to become after Britney had her first hit, in 1998, with "Baby One More Time" at the age of 17.

"There's the honeymoon phase at first," Lynne Spears said. "Everything is fabulous. Look at the wonderful trips she gets to go on. Look at the wonderful people she's meeting.

"Then there's the ugly side of things that turns, and we weren't ready for that, either."

Britney Spears, 26,, has turned her life around in the past six months with her father now managing her affairs and a new album due out in December. Looking fit and glowing, she won three MTV video music awards last week.

"She's strong," Lynne Spears said. "She's resilient. She's had some big bumps in the road, but Britney's fine. Britney is headed to the top once again. I have no fears about Britney."

Britney Spears to open MTV Video Music Awards

It's Britney, baby, one more time. Despite her train-wreck performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last year, the network confirms Spears will kick off the show once again.

But it won't be a performance. Instead, MTV Networks Music Group President Van Toffler said Wednesday, it'll be something "fun and unexpected" on Sunday night's show.

Unexpected is probably the kindest way to describe Spears' performance at last year's VMAs. In what was heavily promoted as the troubled singer's comeback, she instead gave an unfocused, almost unwatchable performance of "Gimme More," one of the many low points in her year of debacles.

So what made Spears and MTV reunite one more time?

"MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I'm excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated," Spears said in a statement.

"I think for Britney, people are rooting for her, and she's really on the road to recovery," Toffler said, noting that MTV had nominated her for three VMAs, including video of the year, for her clip "Piece of Me."

"It feels like it's her year," he added. "It's our 25th anniversary of the VMAs, and she's been such a critical piece of MTV's history."

While she bombed in 2007, Spears has given the VMAs many highlights over the years, from her kiss with Madonna to her performance with a writhing snake.

Spears also equals ratings gold: Last year's VMAs were up 23 percent over the 2006 show.

In recent months, Spears, who's working on a new album, has appeared to have cleaned up her act (although a judge on Wednesday refused to dismiss a misdemeanor driving without-a-valid-license case against her). Her father James has been in control of her personal and professional matters as her legal conservator, and she drew high ratings and positive reviews when she made guest appearances on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" earlier this year.

So far, the confirmed performers for Sunday's show include the Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, T.I. and Kid Rock.

Toffler also raised the possibility of another troubled pop icon appearing: Michael Jackson.

"We've been talking to him as well, I don't know if that's going to happen," he said. "People fall in and fall out up until the day of the show."

Ronnie Wood has offered to help Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan

Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood has offered to help troubled stars Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan in order to make them conquer their addiction.

The 60-year-old guitarist himself battled with drinking problems and also spent time in the rehab in 2006.

Both Spears and Lohan also had a rehab stint last year while battling their addiction.

"The poor things. I'd love to help them," Contactmusic quoted Wood as saying.

"You've got to go through it to get to it. You have to experience all the lows because life is hard," he added.

I’m not Britney’s landlord: Heidi

German supermodel Heidi Klum, who in an impulsive moment had suggested that troubled pop singer Britney Spears could come and live with her, is now regretting her rash act.

Heidi had apparently said on a TV show, “She can come live in our house for a couple of months. I would help set her straight.”

While Britney showed no signs of accepting the offer, she is apparently keen on sending her two sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 17 months, to play with Heidi’s children Leni, 3, Henry, 2, and Johan, 15 months.

A source close to Heidi said, “Britney is focused on having a play date. It’s been something she has wanted to do for a while now and she’s still determined to do it.”

But Heidi now claims she was forced to invite Britney under pressure. The TV show interviewer refused to believe she did not know Britney and Heidi ended up inviting the singer home as she did not know what else to say at that time.

“People always want to know what you have to say about Britney Spears and I don’t really know her. I met her once. All of a sudden I’m her landlord, basically... I don’t know what her thing is,” she said.

Britney voted one of Playboy's 25 Sexiest Celebrities

Something is looking up for Britney Spears at last - the troubled pop star has been voted one of Playboy magazine's 25 Sexiest Celebrities.

The 'Toxic' singer has joined the likes of Beyonce Knowles, Angelina Jolie, Eva Mendes, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johannson on the list, named online by readers of the men's publication.

Other stars on the list include Alicia Keys, Rose MCGowan, Denise Richards, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra.

Playboy boss Hugh Hefner's girlfriend Holly Madison has also made it to the list alongside the tycoon's other two current 'girlfriends' Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.

Meanwhile Spears has finally been released from the psychiatric ward at UCLA Medical Center.

According to reports, the 26-year old singer slipped out quietly with the help of a private security detail and returned home after spending just 7 days in the hospital even though her psychiatrist, Dr. Deborah Nadel, had extended her stay to a 14-day involuntary hold till the next hearing of her case on 14th Feb.

Britney hires Lohan’s bodyguard

Troubled pop star Britney Spears’s parents have reportedly hired Lindsay Lohan’s former bodyguard who has been trained in the Israel Army.

The bodyguard was seen driving the car that picked up Spears from the UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles after she was released from there on Wednesday, say reports. Spears’s parents have taken control of her legal, financial and security affairs.

The unnamed bodyguard had first made headlines when he threatened a photographer who kicked Lohan during a commotion in Halloween last year in an underground parking garage in Los Angeles.

He chased away the photographer and asked other photographers to name the other man. When they could not, he told them to find out who he was and to tell him, “I want to meet him personally.”
