Actress Shilpa Shetty, who took Odissi lessons from an Orissa-based dance guru for an India-China joint film venture, says the classical Indian dance form was tough to learn and perform.
"Odissi is complicated and among all the songs I've ever shot, this has been the most difficult," Shilpa writes on her blog.
The actress, along with Jayaprada, had learnt Odissi from Guru Ratikant Mohapatra, son of legendary Odissi exponent late Kelucharan Mohapatra during the shoot of the film in Kerala.
Shilpa went through a week-long Odissi dance workshop under the supervision of Ratikant Mohapatra at Kollam in Kerala. According to her, the guru was a "hard taskmaster".Shilpa Shetty Photo Album
