American socialite Kim Kardashian is hoping that reality dance show ‘Dancing with the Stars’ will help her tone up her famous behind.

The 27-year-old who’s undergoing rigorous training session for the famous reality show would help her to flaunt her best asset in peak condition.

"I'm hoping that it'll firm it up and shape it up," the New York Daily News quoted her as telling People magazine.

"Everyone is asking if I'm worried it's going to go away. No, it's going to tone it up," she added.

Meanwhile, Kim’s footballer beau Reggie Bush may go on his knees any time soon, with the reality TV star saying that Bush is the one for her.

She expressed her keenness on a long-term relationship with Bush.

"I think I finally made the right choice, he’s just a really sweet, normal guy,” she said.

Avril's concert goes off without a hitch

All the fuss and furor over Canadian teen pop-rock star Avril Lavigne''s concert proved completely unfounded as she gave a stupendous performance at Stadium Merdeka last night.

It was a pop concert, with no element of a rowdy punk-rock performance as was being feared by some quarters who had initially objected to her coming here.

PAS Youth leaders had criticised the timing of the concert, claiming that the culture Lavigne promoted, was not appropriate especially so close to Merdeka Day, reports The Star Online.

All of that haze was cleared when Lavigne entertained, the estimated 15,000 people with songs from her three albums, bursting into life in typical fashion for several hit numbers.

Lavigne was dressed casually in jeans and a black T-shirt as she took to the stage with her first song Girlfriend, and only had one costume change, into a grey T-shirt, in the one-and-a-half-hour show.

There were many who stood in raincoats to watch the star do her thing. The crowd remained excited throughout, singing and dancing along to Lavigne''s entire 17-song set.

Eva Mendes has said that she’s proud of her controversial Calvin Klein TV ad that has been banned because it showed too much of her nipplê.

The Hollywood star, who was recently in Sydney to launch the 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty event, has been causing a stir over the Calvin Klein perfume ads.

"It makes me more proud," News.com.au quoted Eva, as saying about the ban.

The Ghost Rider star , said she was not worried the latest would overshadow her acting career.

"I'm sure if it was for some kind of independent brand that wasn't as iconic as Calvin Klein I don't think I would have done it because that's too much of a risk," Mendes said.

"But when its Calvin Klein and it's (fashion photographer) Steve Meisel shooting you and you get to be a part of this amazing iconic brand and their legacy you just kind of go for it,” she said.

The ad, which shows Eva rolling around in a bed with a sheet wrapped around her, has been banned in the US, UK and Australia.

Shilpa Shetty:Sunny is a tough task master

Sunny Deol has found a friend in Shilpa Shetty. The two have worked together in Sunny’s home production, Indian and Apne . But it was during the shooting of Deol’s new film The Man that the two bonded.

Apparently, the unit was shooting in Goa for a song last month. After a hard day’s work, the unit members called it a day. “But Sunny had different plans,” recalls Shilpa. According to Shilpa, Sunny decided to continue with the shift because he was in a mood to shoot. “You know he is mad and obsessed with his work. He is directing the film as well, so his madness reached another level.”

But Shetty feels that it’s his madness that has taken the film to another level. “For that same song, we shot non stop for 40 hours. By the end of it, I almost fainted.”

Shetty feels that Sunny is a tough task master. “He is extremely strict about timings and is a disciplinarian. Honestly, I was a bit tired and irritated after putting in 40 long hours. But when I saw the final result, I was super happy.” That’s why they call him Sunny Deol, the perfectionist.

Kate Moss blamed that fashion industry made her thin

Supermodel Kate Moss has blamed the fashion industry for making her too thin.

In a recent interview with America’s Interview magazine, the stunner said that she never wanted to be skinny.

"I didn't eat for a long time. Not on purpose. You'd be on shoots with bad food or get on a plane and the food would be so disgusting you couldn't eat it,” Guardian.co.uk quoted her, as saying in the interview.

“You go to a show and there's no food at all.I remember standing up in the bath one day and I was so thin! I was never anorexic.I remember thinking, I don't want to be this skinny,” she added.

Other models have echoed Moss's comments.

In Vogue this month Karen Elson, who has said that in the past she was "not eating, bulimic and taking laxatives", accuses the fashion industry of encouraging models to be unhealthily thin.

I remember I came back from a job in Paris and the stylist said to me, "have you been eating too many croissants, Karen?" Elson said.

"Fashion is obsessed with finding young, beautiful and vulnerable girls, bringing them into the fashion world, praising them, worshipping them but suddenly dropping them like a stone when they hit puberty and grow boobs and hips. It''s so dangerous and can potentially harm the girls mentally and physically,” the model added.

Actually I am a complete foodie and totally opposite to my character in the film.”

Uncut version of controversial Helen Mirren film Caligula to be released.
It was banned nearly 30 years ago for its graphic scenes of incêst and real sêx.
But the controversial Roman epic Caligula is set to be sold on the High Street after the British Board of Film Classification finally gave it the green light.
The original 1979 movie was scripted by the writer and historian Gore Vidal and featured a host of stars including Helen Mirren, Peter O'Toole and Sir John Gielgud.

Bob Guccione, founder of Penthouse magazine, who produced and financed the film, felt it did not contain enough sêx.
He secretly filmed graphic real sêx scenes and inserted them into the final edit.

Although it was subsequently released in the U.S., officials here banned the film because of its gratuitous content.

Although the film is available in this country on DVD, it is a heavily sanitised version and almost an hour shorter than the uncut Imperia edition.

Last month, it was heavily criticised for awarding Batman: The Dark Knight a 12A rating, despite concerns about the level of violence.

Reportedly, his film is based on a novel called Kimball Ravenswood by Madhu Rye. It can be recalled that the famous tele-serial Mr Yogi was loosely based on the same novel. Apparently, in the serial the main protagonist Mr Yogi meets 12 different girls for marriage.

But Ashutosh’s romantic comedy has a twist to it. Harman, the male lead, meets these 12 different girls and all these characters are played by Priyanka Chopra. Now the look of all her characters is the suspense.

Actresses have played double roles in films, but with this film, Priyanka will be the first actress to play more than a double role. Priyanka has always maintained that experimenting leaves her on a high and What’s Your Raashi seems ‘the film’ for her.

Now Tanisha Mukherjee an item number

Tanisha Mukherjee will be seen doing an item number in director Kabir Sadanand’s forthcoming film Tum Milo To Sahi. This is going to be her first item song ever. The song is a Latino club song where Tanisha will set the screen on fire with some groovy salsa moves.

Director Kabir Sadanand confirms, “Yes, Tanisha has done an item song. This particular song is a fun number. Tanisha is one fun loving girl and was a perfect fit for the song.”

The song has been choreographed by Danny, Savio and Kunjan who also choreographed the salsa song in Honeymoon Travels Private Ltd. However, Tanisha who doesn’t know salsa had only one week to rehearse and get her steps right.

Hollywood actress Kirsten Dunst has ruled out a career on Broadway because she is terrified of singing live.

The actress showed off her singing talent for her role in the third Spider-Man franchise but pre-recorded a song for fear of performing in front of the cast and crew on-set, reports Contactmusic.com .

She insists it is her apprehension over her singing abilities that keep her from starring in musical theatre. "Singing in the movie was fun because I got to record the song and then I lip-synched it to my own voice because I'm scared to sing in front of people in real life," Kirsten said.

"I don't have it in me. I would do it but not professionally or anything like that. I mean, not on a Broadway stage, that is for sure," she added.

Hollywood actress Eva Mendes has said that she will have no problems going under the knife when her figure begins to sag.

The Hitch actress has bared it all in a series of controversial ‘Calvin Klein’ advertisements. She has even posed topless for Vogue magazine.

Ltd., Raima says, “I started getting many lead offers after Honeymoon... and now you’ll only see me in lead roles.” So, does that mean she’ll not do a supporting role at all? “I’ll do a supporting role only if it's a Sanjay Leela Bhansali or a Yash Raj film because their women look classy and gorgeous,” she gives back. Quite ambitious!

Raima was in the city to promote her upcoming flick C Kkompany, which also stars Tusshar Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Rajpal Yadav. Talking about the film, Raima informs, “The film is a clean comedy which also has an inspirational message. And I play the sister of a don, which is played by Mithun Chakraborty.”

Raima, in her filmi career, has done a lot of serious cinema and has won a lot of accolades for it too. So how is it doing comedy now? “It feels good. Serious cinema sometimes gets a li’l heavy for an actor, though comedy isn’t easy either. But I’m learning,” she says, adding, “However, I’m still doing serious cinema, which include Aparna Sen’s film Japanese Wife and another with Rituparno Ghosh.”

But after having been in the industry for quite sometime now, wonder why has the pretty gal not seen much commercial success yet? “No doubt it has been a struggle for me, but thank God my performance as an actor hasn’t deteriorated. And I have a feeling that when success will come, it will be steady. I have learnt a lot from the past and feel maturer now,” she says.

So, since Raima has decided to do more commercial films now, is she game for skin show too? “Nobody associates me with skin show. No one has ever approached me to do an item number even,” she laughs. And what about the new fad with gals to have a size zero figure? “No way. I will never be able to attain that as I’m a big foodie.”

Raima is also doing a film with her sister Riya. “Yes, we are doing a Bengali film together,” she confirms, adding, “We are very professional when it comes to acting. We don’t bring our work home. At home we are like any other sisters would be. We take what comes to us. That way we are not that ambitious. Riya may look ambitious, but let me tell you she’s not.”

Anne Hathaway says being considered a sêx symbol is an “unexpected” pleasure. The Get Smart actress — who first shot to fame with a movie The Princess Diaries in 2001 — has been changing her clean-cut image with controversial films including Brokeback Mountain but admits her sêx symbol status has surprised her. She said: “I’m so happy that I’m a 25-year-old working actress and that now people are starting to say I have brains. I always thought people believed I could only do one thing. It’s always frightening when you are trying something new and you just feel sort of shaky. I wanted to be an actor more than anything else and that’s what it means to be an actor.

While Aishwarya has ethereal looks, Mallika has a va-va voom figure and on the drool meter, Mallika scores way higher. However, the kind of woman I would fantasise about is a proper Tamil ponnu, who is a perfect mix of beauty, brains and good character. I think Nayanthara sort of fits the bill,” says the young actor.

Actress Padmapriya says that the term ‘sex symbol’ is not derogatory. “When someone talks about fantasy, it's more often than not about the physical attributes of a person. I also think that while the way a woman carries herself or shows off her ‘assets’ maybe a reflection of her personality, it’s definitely more about the figure,” says she.

Model and VJ, Paloma says, “As a woman I am not ok with being treated like a sex object. Fantasies are fine as long as they remain just that. Mallika uses what she has to her advantage and you gotta laud the lady for that. She has positioned herself very well, she knows what sells and gives the public just that. But then again, when it comes to reality, it’s a whole different ball game; it’s as much the beauty, as it is the brains.”

The actress revealed that she’s been convincing directors that her characters should hug instead of kiss, because she hates smooching with anyone who isn't her husband.

The Desperate Housewives actress has just celebrated her first wedding anniversary with basketball star Tony Parker and she can't get used to the idea she has to lock lips with strange men on the big and small screen.

"I always try to talk my way out of kissing scenes: ''Do they really need to kiss in this part? Can't they just hug?'' The directors are like, ''No!''" Contactmusic quoted her, as telling Latina magazine .

With rumours abuzz of how Deepika was completely trumped at a reality show when Ranbir decided to walk in with Bips, this definitely has distorted the otherwise rosy picture the couple makes.

The masala on the show is there for all to see. Even as Bips and Minissha Lamba keep pulling Ranbir’s leg, the distraught Deepika seeks comfort from beau Ranbir. In a charming gesture he introduces his lady love as ‘the beautiful Deepika Padukone,’ only to have Bipasha snap at him that he should have complimented Minissha too similarly! A defensive Deepika protests, “He did call you hot and sêxy!”

Seems the lovers were about to have a tiff yet again when Ranbir decides to set the record straight by saying, “Ok, hot, beautiful and sêxy Deepika Padukone”, much to the lady's delight.

Apart from general ribbing, the stars also end up sharing some real interesting anecdotes. Deepika talks about the incident when she was scratched and covered by pigeon poop while shooting for a song sequence. Ranbir talks of how he overcame hydrophobia by jumping into a swimming pool.

Minissha shot for a song in chilling cold where all she had to help her was a hot plastic water bottle. Bipasha shared her fear when she needed a root canal done and was so petrified that she forced her dentists to be on a conference call throughout the process!
