I'm not comfortable discussing my private:Raima Sen

The ramp was set ablaze with various designs and concepts by novice designers from across India. However when Raima walked you could just feel the anticipation and anxiety of the crowd as they watched in awe, the wonderfully draped sari the actress wore. Raima is pretty open to questions and in no means makes an individual feel subordinate, she is always available for a few question and will make it a point to give you an answer that you seek. However, if put in a difficult spot she some how will find her way out without ruffling any feathers. We caught her during her recent fashion show where she walked the ramp. You have an offbeat film called Japanese Wife coming up. What's the film about?
"It's not exactly an offbeat film. We finished the shooting in October, and the film should hit theatres by Feb- March. However I wouldn't want to say much, but it is a beautiful improbable love story; the film has been wonderfully shot and directed by Aparna Sen. She is one of the most critically acclaimed filmmaker of our country.
Are you happy with the way your career in Bollywood is shaping up?
"I am very happy this year with the film that I have got and hopefully next year will be better and the years after that will just keep getting better than before."
What about the competition from other actresses?
"I think that we face competition in every field, I think that you should create a niche for yourself and try and be different from the rest and just leave the rest to god."
How hard is it being an actress in today's film world?
"I think that it is a very competitive field but then others will also be the same and I cannot really say how different it is. But I'm enjoying every bit of it."
Recently you walked the ramp in a fashion show. How was the experience?
"From what little I saw I think that the designs coming from students were really very beautiful and interesting knowing they are students. At first I was really nervous and still am as I don't really do this often, but the dresses were beautiful and the jewellery was also wonderful. I think that I am lucky to have been able to walk the ramp wearing such a collection."
There have been rumours linking you with Kunal Kapoor?
"I have absolutely nothing to say about that as it is now my past so I don't have to say anything about it. I think that one should never look back at the past instead you should always look forward to the future."
So are you guys still in touch?
"No comments, next question please."
So Kalikesh Singh Deo the Bhubaneshwar-based MLA is the new man in your life? "Please, I'm not comfortable discussing my private life in media."
So would you try and write your own destiny? "No only God can decide what awaits you in the future. I don't think that we can write our destiny, but while trying to do so it only takes linger to get there. I believe in destiny and what's in store will definitely happen.
