Charlize Theron to star in ‘Mad Max 4′

Charlize Theron may soon be seen in action in the fourth instalment of “Mad Max 4″ as director George Miller has roped her in to play the female lead.

Imdb.com reports that Miller will not team up with Mel Gibson, who was an integral part of all the three versions of the film, for “Mad Max 4″.

When Miller had announced that he would begin work on the sequel back in 2007, he admitted Gibson was too old for the anti hero role of “Mad” Max Rockatansky and said: “I don’t think he would be interested in being involved at all.”

Instead, Miller is looking at little-known Brit Tom Hardy, whose credits include “Black Hawk Down” and “Band of Brothers”, to play male lead opposite Theron.

Charlize Theron is all set to don the skin tight suit as she plays Catwoman in the upcoming Batman flick, it has emerged.

The 34-year-old beauty beat high profile contenders including Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie to bag the coveted role.

The star, who won much critical acclaim and an Oscar for playing serial killer Aileen Wuornos in 2003 film Monster, was overjoyed on getting the news.

The Daily Express quoted her as saying: “That’s kick-ass news…. I think what has happened to that franchise is amazing. CHRIS NOLAN is a genius. I would be an idiot to not consider that part.”

South African actress Charlize Theron shoots a scene in her upcoming movie at dawn to avoid the hounding paparazzi.

In her new movie ‘The Burning Plain’, the actress was seen completely 'bare-body' and smoking a cigarette through an open window in full view of passers-by.

“We had to shoot the scene at 6 a.m. before any of the photographers were up. It was done in such secrecy that it wasn’t even in the script.Only three people, including myself, knew it was going to happen,” the New York Post quoted Director Guillermo Arriaga as saying.

Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron has once again stripped down to her flawless body in the much-awaited flick ‘The Burning Plain’.

The ‘That Thing You do’ actress, who has earlier stripped down in flicks like ‘The Devil's Advocate’, ‘Deception’, ‘Monster’ and ‘2 Days In The Valley’, is once again ready to entice all with the strip act, reports the Sun.

The Oscar winner Hollywood actress will play Sylvia, who tries to find common ground with her parents after a chaotic childhood; Hollywood Kim Basinger will play her mother in the flick.

Meanwhile, humanitarian Theron was also in news for being appointed as the United Nations Messenger Of Peace for her contribution in ending violence against women.
