‘Girls Aloud’ star Cheryl Cole’s calendar has made it to the best sellers list along with Twilight sequel New Moon.

While boy band JLS topped the chart, New Moon came second and X-factor judge came third.

The chart has been compiled by Europe’s biggest official Calendar-maker Danilo and retailer HMV.

“It’s all change on our walls this year,” the Mirror quoted a spokeswoman for Danilo as saying.

Other annual favourites like Manchester United dropped from 2008’s third place to six, and Liverpool fell from two to nine.

Sir Cliff Richard, for the first time dropped out of the top 10 to land on 13th spot.

2008’s biggest hit, High School Musical, failed make it in top 20 this year.

Charlize Theron has revealed that her charity is raising cash to build football fields all over Africa in honour of the 2010 World Cup.

34-year-old South African actress is very excited about the event, and her Africa Outreach charity wants to build the football fields so rural kids will have a chance of being a part of it.

“I love soccer and it’s great for Africa that we’re finally hosting it (World Cup). We’re so proud,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.

“I started a program about two years ago that’s become very integrated and, in honour of the World Cup, we’re building soccer fields in very rural communities, where African children have no access to play this sport,” she added.

Wife of French president Nicolas Sarkozy, who appeared on Canal+ television Monday to perform a cover of the "Beatles' And I Love Her" with the American entertainer Harry Connick Jnr, said Allen had asked her to work with him after a visit to Paris in June.

"Woody Allen kindly asked me not to do a film with anyone else before him," she said, admitting that she had said yes. She did not give any details of the role intended for her.

A tour bus belonging to the singer Miley Cyrus has overturned and was involved in an accident on Interstate 85, near mile marker 55. According to reports, 9 people have been injured and the driver of the bus had died in this tragic crash.

Miley Cyrus was not in that bus and is not present at the accident site as well. She is completely safe and unharmed.

Lady Gaga releasing cheaper album for her fans

Lady Gaga is honouring recession-hit fans by releasing a cut-price version of her upcoming mini-album.

The singer is releasing three versions of the disc, two deluxe versions that include parts of her original Fame album and a standard version will contain only new songs, priced at 9.99 dollars, reports Contactmusic.

To start with while she was visiting a hill station during a summer vacation the whole family decided to go boating and Gauahar who loves water was sitting at the edge of the boat. Another incident she recalls is when at the age of six her mother shaved off her head bald. She says, “I was made to wear a hat and due to which I was ridiculed at school even while walking or playing in the park people would lift my hat just to catch a glimpse of my bald head. I hated my mom then but I guess her efforts paid off and today I am blessed with beautiful hair. So I just want to thank my mom for it.” Guess mom knows best!
